Our Umpires officiate in Men’s, Women’s, Veterans and junior Boys and Junior Girls competitions.
The YRUA is dedicated to the training and development of all our umpires. We are a diverse and active club who enjoy staying fit and embrace the challenge of umpiring the fast-paced game of Australian Rules football. AFL umpires play a key role in one of the most popular sports in Australia, and the YRUA is proud to be part of this iconic institution.
The Outer East Football Netball League is based on Melbourne’s outer eastern border, covering the councils of Yarra Ranges, Cardinia, Casey, and Murrindindi. The league is responsible for growing and developing both Australian Rules Football (AFL) and netball across the region.
Yarra Ranges Umpires was previously known as the Dandenong Ranges Junior Football League (DRJFL) Umpires Association and the Yarra Valley Mountain Districts Football League (YVMDFL) Umpires Association. In 2003, Yarra Ranges Umpires was formed as these leagues merged under the Outer East banner.
